Non-CARICOM Nationals Seeking Work in Bermuda

 

We explain here what you will need to do if you wish to work in Bermuda and you are coming from a state which is not a member of CARICOM*.

 

The following are required:

 

  3 work permit application forms. These will be obtained by
  your Bermuda employer
  3 bank vouchers for processing fees. These will be obtained by
  your employer
  3 certified passport sized photographs certified by a Notary Public,
  Justice of the Peace, Minister of Religion, or Inspector of Police.
  A letter from your employer including particulars of the job offer
  Details of any police record from your country of residence
  Your employer will provide with your application an Employers'
  Tax Compliance Certificate, company and business registration certificates
  3 work permit application forms. These will be obtained by
  A processing fee. This should normally be paid for by your employer

 

Once completed these forms must be returned to the Bermuda Ministry of Labour and Social Security by your employer for processing. Processing should take about 4 to 6 weeks. The processing fee must be paid to any branch of the National Commercial Bank in Bermuda by your employer. A work permit can then be made available.

 

*Note: The following are CARICOM member states: Antigua and Barbuda , The Bahamas, Barbados , Belize , Dominica , Grenada , Guyana , Haiti , Jamaica , Montserrat , Saint Lucia , St. Kitts and Nevis , St. Vincent and the Grenadines , Suriname , Trinidad and Tobago .
